Fall/Spring Study Abroad
If you cancel after submitting your confirmation form you will incur the following charge:
$1,500.00 Tisch Special Programs Reservation Fee (nonrefundable and nontransferable)
If you submit a confirmation form for one of our programs, you agree to adhere to the Tisch Special Programs Cancellation Policy. All cancellations must be made by email, sent to tisch.special.admissions@nyu.edu. A cancellation made by any other method (e.g. in person or over the phone) will not be accepted. Tuition fees, lab fees, ticket fees, and the registration and services fee are refunded according to the New York University refund schedule. Please note that arrangements made with other New York University offices (e.g. Housing Services) may also carry fees for cancellations.
Cancellation Policies by Program
Professional/Online Courses
To confirm your attendance, you must pay the course tuition by the listed course registration date. Two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or twenty-five percent (25%) of the total course tuition price, whichever is lesser, will be held as a non-refundable deposit.
The Refund Schedule below is for students who are dropping online classes. To request a withdrawal from class, you must email nyutisch@smashcut.com. Your withdrawal request will be confirmed by email.
You must drop no later than the session drop deadline, which is four days after the start of class to receive a refund on tuition minus the non-refundable deposit. After the drop deadline passes, no refund will be issued.
Online High School
This policy applies to the Online High School Filmmakers Workshop and the Online High School Screenwriters Workshop. If you cancel after submitting your confirmation form you will not receive a refund for the following:
$1,500.00 Deposit Fee (nonrefundable and nontransferable)
You must drop no later than four days after the start of class to receive a full refund on tuition and fees (except for the $1,500 deposit).
Summer 2024 Online High School Drop Deadline: July 11, 2024
Spring at Tisch
If you cancel after submitting your confirmation form you will incur the following charge:
$550.00 Tisch Special Programs Reservation Fee (nonrefundable and nontransferable)
SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL
This policy applies to the Tisch Summer High School program. If you cancel after submitting your confirmation form you will not receive a refund for the following:
$1,500.00 Deposit Fee (nonrefundable and nontransferable)
You must drop no later than four days after the start of class to receive a full refund on tuition and fees (except for the $1,500 deposit).
Summer 2024 High School Drop Deadline: July 11, 2024
Summer/J-Term Study Abroad
If you cancel after submitting your confirmation form you will incur the following charge:
$1,500.00 Tisch Special Programs Reservation Fee (nonrefundable and nontransferable)
If you are administratively cancelled or withdrawn from a program due to non-compliance with program requirements (e.g. missed mandatory orientation, conduct violation, etc.) you will also be subject to the nonrefundable program fees as outlined above.
