Minors
Get a Little Something Extra.
Minors at Tisch School of the Arts broaden students’ perspectives of emerging media and the cinematic and performing arts. Students also explore the political and societal implications of their work. Interdisciplinary courses and internships give students unparalleled opportunities.
A minor includes a set of required and elective courses. NYU undergraduates are eligible for all minors except the minor in Applied Theatre, which is only open to undergraduate Drama students, and the minor in Interactive Media Arts, which is only open to Tisch School of the Arts undergraduate students.
The Office of Special Programs oversees the administration of the following Tisch Minors: Dance, Documentary, Film, Game Design, Interactive Media Arts, Performance Studies, and Producing. For questions on these Tisch Minors, please contact tisch.minors@nyu.edu.
Students in need of accessibility-related information who are considering a Tisch minor should contact the Moses Center for Student Accessibility. An Accessibility Specialist is available via Zoom each weekday (excluding University holidays) from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET to discuss accessibility and possible accommodations at NYU. Email mosescsa@nyu.edu to request a Zoom link. Additional information and resources are available on the Moses Center for Student Accessibility website.
