Chien Chen is a Taipei-born artist and curator. She utilizes sites and institutional frameworks as conditions for art-making. She constructs situations and creates works in performance, sound, installation, and film.

Her research interests include performance and visual art, art theory, dance theories, performance and politics, sound studies, and art in neoliberal condition. Chen has exhibited her work and performed as an ensemble member at venues such as the National Museum of Mexican Art, Mana Contemporary, Goodman Theatre, 6018|North, Mayfield, SITE Gallery, John M. Flaxman Library, and more.
