Angie Romero is a seasoned content executive at the intersection of music, media, tech and entertainment. The year 2023 marks two decades in the game, having worked in media ranging from print magazines to livestreams. Her motto is: "the medium may change, but the mission stays the same: to educate, inspire and entertain whomever is reading, watching or listening." As Global Editorial Lead for Amazon Music's Latin Music Team, she oversees the strategy and execution of all Latin music storytelling across video and audio. Her work as an executive producer encompasses award-winning video series, documentaries and podcasts. As a journalist and host, she has interviewed Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Shakira and Gloria & Emilio Estefan, to name a few. Her work as a writer, editor and producer has been featured in Prime Video, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, The Washington Post, ABC News, NPR, Latina, Marie Claire, Glamour, Univision, Telemundo, VIBE and Complex, among other media outlets. She has appeared on national English and Spanish language TV, lectured at New York University, participated at conferences as both a moderator and a panelist, and covered awards shows and festivals in the U.S. & abroad. Previously, she was a Senior Editor at Spotify, where she curated playlists across a wide range of genres and mood & moments. Also at Spotify, she launched and co-hosted the Viva Latino Podcast -- the first audio companion of its kind to a global playlist brand. She created playlist homes for underrepresented voices and helped break new artists. She continues to hone her storytelling skills in the streaming era across different formats in service of a worldwide multicultural audience.
