Kirina M Stensby
Adjunct Instructor
Kiri Stensby, AKA Kiri, is an artist, producer, and audio engineer from Los Angeles, now based in New York City. Growing up, Kiri’s passion for music was ignited when she was gifted with an Alesis electronic keyboard with endless sounds. It immediately sparked her interest in the creation of music, synthesis, and the depths of electronic music. In her early teen years, she began producing music on her computer and realized the endless possibilities that digital production could bring, and decided to further her sonic studies at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music. Post-grad, she focused heavily on honing her mixing skills, and has since amassed a large discography, but as of 2022 demand for her production and co-writing talent has taken off. Her production, writing, and mixing reflect her unique musical sensibilities—her work often results in addictive melodic hooks, massive vocal layers, heart-pounding bass, and drum rhythms she’s found on the dance floor. Kiri has collaborated with a range of artists, most notably Eartheater, Lolahol, and Caroline Polachek. Her ability to help artists express their voices in a timeless way that resonates with current musical trends is exceptional.
