Michael grew up as a musician and grew up cycling between learning four instruments. In high-school he played in several bands as well as percussion in marching band. During this time, Michael discovered his passions for making home recording with the bands he played with as well as composing and arranging music for marching band and his school’s percussion ensemble.
Michael studied music composition and technology at Duquesne University. During this time, he worked live sound for two local Pittsburgh venues. He was also the Assistant Engineer at Audible Images recording studio. Upon graduating with his Bachelors in Music, he wanted to continue his education in the recording arts so he attended New York University’s music technology Master’s program at Steinhardt.
While at Steinhardt, Michael expanded his knowledge in object-based audio, audio for video games, and advanced audio recording theory. After receiving his Master’s, he stayed a bit longer to get his Tonmeister advanced certificate in concert recording and multi-channel audio. During this time he worked as an engineer at the James L. Dolan recording studio as well as managing their 6th floor recording studios.
