The Newest Americans is a three-year art and documentary project chronicling the immigrant experience from the vantage point of the campus of Rutgers University-Newark. The project, spearheaded by Tim Raphael, director of the Center for Migration and the Global City (CMGC), cross-pollinates academic inquiry, professional media production, and public humanities programming to generate fresh narratives and insights about our emerging majority minority population and the nation it is transforming.

Featuring:

  • Marie-Jeanne Muhoza Ndimbira, co-founder of the Physically Active Youth Program (PAY) an after school non-profit organization based in Windhoek, Namibia

  • Kristina Micu, Program Coordinator for Newest Americans
