Invisible Beauty, featuring cinematography by Grad Film faculty Mia Cioffi Henry, released in theaters. Directed by Bethann Hardison and Frédéric Cheng, the documentary follows fashion revolutionary Bethann Hardison as she looks back on her life and legacy. Invisible Beauty screened at major film festivals including Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and was awarded Best Documentary Feature and the Industry Audience Award at the Sarasota Film Festival. Read more...

Grad Film selected MFA Candidate Mariano Dongo as this year's recipient for the Robert Oberman, Gregory Pickert, and Media Services Producing Award. The honor, which is selected by producing faculty, is given to a Graduate Film candidate in the third year of the program for outstanding producing work over their course of studies. Read more...

Lorena Durán was the recipient of the Jeff Lima Production Award for 2023. Lorena's short film, Dilia Won't Die, explores three Dominican-American women failing to co-exist under the same roof in Queens, NY, following a physically-impaired mother’s obsession with winning an online Dominoes tournament, unleashing devastating consequences on her teenage daughter and her vindictive caregiver. Grad Film faculty Spike Lee was honored with an exhibit 'Spike Lee: Creative Sources' at the Brooklyn Museum, from October 7th, 2023 to February 4th, 2024.
