A fictional retelling of the 1885 Chinese Massacre in Rock Springs, Wyoming, focusing on two Chinese miners - brothers Leo and Lor.
David Huang is a nonfiction and fiction director/writer, focused on telling stories featuring underrepresented subjects from diverse backgrounds. His short documentary, Re-Opening, commissioned by the Asian American Documentary Network, was acquired by PBS World Channel for upcoming broadcast. He is the inaugural recipient of the Kyoko Arai Fund and HEAR US Grant program for his narrative thesis short film, Rock Springs, centered on the Wyoming Chinese Rock Springs Massacre of 1885. In the past, he has worked with organizations such as eBay, the United Nations, PBS, the Museum of Chinese in America, current, coinbase, and more.
