Synopsis: Going back to his hometown to investigate the murder of a young girl, Lieutenant Zhang falls into the memories of his youth in the city.

Yumeng Han is a Chinese-born writer-director, currently a MFA third year student at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Growing up in the urban fringe of Nanjing, China, Yumeng uses cinema to explore the loneliness of lower-middle-class communities and their isolation from modern society. Yumeng’s short film “Crossing River” was selected in the Pardi Di Domaini category of the 70th Locarno Festival, and the short film competition of the 61st San Francisco International Film Festival amongst others.
