The Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing is committed to fostering a culture of belonging and cultivating a supportive community of varied viewpoints, perspectives and experiences.
On the left, you will find links to resources and offices throughout Tisch and NYU that are working to advance these goals; and below you will find specific resources for Dramatic Writing Students;
1) The IDEA Council- an ongoing forum for students, faculty, staff and alumni to collectively discuss and address issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in our community, in communication with the NYU Office of Global Inclusion. Led by faculty advisors Cusi Cram, MJ Kaufman, and Ian Ellis James.
2) The DDW Student Board- a self-determining, self-governing board of elected student representatives from each class that plans events and facilitates communication between students and Dramatic Writing faculty.
3) The DDW Community Agreement- a guideline for responsible, inclusive engagement for members of the DDW community.
