    • This virtual and interactive gallery, created in partnership with Microsoft, honors the remarkable legacy of Mrs. King. As a civil rights leader, peace advocate, and champion for justice, she not only stood alongside Dr. King during the movement but carried his message forward after his death. The gallery showcases artifacts spanning her journey from Alabama to the founding of The King Center, highlighting her tireless work for human rights, women's equality, LGBTQIA+ rights, and economic justice, as well as her successful campaign to establish Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a national holiday.

  • The March, The Dusable Museum Of African American History

    • This digital exhibit, produced by TIME and Viola Davis, offers an immersive recreation of the historic 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Available both as an online virtual experience and through Fortnite's interactive "March Through Time," this innovative project brings this pivotal moment in the civil rights movement to life for new generations. TIME also partnered with AI storytelling pioneer StoryFile to create an interactive video interview with civil rights activist Joyce Ladner.

The university will be honoring Dr. King during the week of February 3rd - 7th to commemorate Dr. King’s visit to the University Heights campus in 1961. As part of NYU’s 20th Annual MLK Week, The Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Community Engagement, and Student Affairs are hosting a showcase of a few select artistic pieces celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy. These items will be on display in the 721 Broadway lobby.
