Grant Travis Ng
Virtual Production Engineer
Grant Ng is a Virtual Production Engineer for the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center.
Grant has been working in education for 8 years. He first worked in the mental health field as a therapist for children with autism for 4 years. He also worked in academia during grad school for 4 years doing workshops, RnD for technical art, and creating tutorial videos for the virtual production industry.
Over the course of his career, Grant has had the privilege of working across multiple industries such as web development, VR/AR development, virtual production, real-time animation for film/TV and commercial work. Grant previously held positions at Pratt Institute and NYU, where he was part of an initiative in developing their VR/AR and virtual production initiatives. Subsequently, he transitioned to the dynamic world of VFX for film and TV, contributing his expertise to various projects.
Grant's passion has led him to explore opportunities in the TV/film and game industries, where he has worked as a Motion Capture Supervisor at Prysm Stages/LUX Machina at Trilith Studios, Real-time Technical Artist at The Mill and Virtual Production TD with Imaginarium Studios at Trilith Studios. His current experience is working with real-time technologies for on-set and live events needs. He has worked with commercial studios, post production studios, Trilith Studios, Marvel Studios with She-Hulk (2022), and Francis Ford Coppola for his upcoming movie Megalopolis (TBA)."
