Adrianne Harrison-Surgeon

Currently I am pursuing Doctoral studies at Drexel University, EdD in Educational Management, Learning Technologies and am developing a STEM education initiative at Fresh Start Academy Middle High School, East Orange, New Jersey, were high school students are learning computational thinking, Robotics and programming. 

I have worked in educational leadership for over 20 years, 6-12 grade-level instructional programs. Middle School instruction includes all aspects of Computer Literacy. High School course instruction includes Introduction to Computer Science, Introduction to Computer Programming, Robotics, Career Edication, Desktop Publishing, CIT and Web Design. School leadership duties include creating annual school-wide technology plans; contributing to the development of the District-wide technology program and plans; providing curriculum design for 6th, 7th, 8th grade computer literacy technology courses, serving as administrator of online teaching, integrated technology and coordinating educational technology lesson plans for all students school-wide. I monitor instructional technology and apply data analytical skills, using differentiated instruction strategies for all learners and demonstrates teaching strategies within the learning environment and provide staff development to instructional staff and perform coaching in professional learning communities while demonstrating a strong knowledge of pedagogy and instructional strategies.

Prior experience in information technologies includes work at Fortune500 corporation and subsidiaries, responsible for ensuring that vendor’s implementation is an overall success of the project management including fulfillment the of the internal client business and technical requirements and adherence to the approved project scope and budget. Design the requirements development project schedule development, management and tracking resource management and time tracking, project financial management and tracking, project risk management, project issue management and project communication /reporting management.
