Chelsea Chen

Chelsea Chen Chen is a media artist and experience designer living and working in New York City.

Her work is self-reflective, inspired by her own short-comings and her desire to be a better person. She employs technology with humor, sometimes laughing with her audiences and sometimes laughing at them. Like a machine that smashes plates when you don’t reply your email, or an Instagramable installation that hides at the sight of a camera.

Chelsea earned her BA and MA from University of Sussex in Media Practice and Theory and an MPS from ITP. Previously, she worked as a product designer in Shanghai and is now a research resident at ITP.
