Yida Zhou

Yida (Ida) Zhou is a wannabe artist who loves learning theories and incorporating them into her practice. She creates experimental art that explores physicality, gender, and sexuality. She wanders around a lot and is still figuring out the world.

What drew you to the M.A. in Arts Politics:

If art is solely for the purpose of beauty and viewing, then the art world is too boring. I like how this program puts art and politics together. Through art, we ask the audience to think critically and step down from their privileged position to care about the society and the world.
