On Tuesday, June 25th, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that 487 distinguished artists and executives have been invited to join as members. Membership selection is based on professional qualifications, with an ongoing commitment to representation, inclusion and equity. Should they all accept, it will bring the Academy’s total membership to 10,910, of which 9,934 would be voting members.
"We are thrilled to welcome this year's class of new members to the Academy," said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang. "These remarkably talented artists and professionals from around the world have made a significant impact on our filmmaking community."
This year, 20 Tisch alumni received an invitation to join The Academy's membership ranks. See the list of Tisch alumni invitees below, and all 2024 invites here.
